Christmas Run with Reindeer Rudolf & Co.

06.12.2021 - Natalie
Another eventful year in terms of sport, especially in the second half of the year, is slowly coming to an end. Instead of the Hockenheimring or Rheinzabern, where Jonas and I have often run in the past towards the end of the year, this year we went to the Edinburgh Christmas Run. We started and finished in Inverleith Park north of the city centre and at the same time only a few metres away from the Royal Botanic Garden, a highly recommended and at the same time free attraction for tourists and locals.

Not only we, but also Father Christmas and his reindeer, were on site at the Edinburgh Christmas Run. On the quite curvy course, which also challenged us with the one or other climb again and again, Jonas and I were able to go at quite a fast pace right away, so that we were able to run absolutely satisfactory times despite some climbs, curves, turning points and slippery spots due to the outside conditions. While Jonas came in second behind a Scotsman living in Ireland in 33:19 minutes, I crossed the finish line as the winner after 37:29 minutes. After the run, of course, we stopped by to see the reindeer, which had been brought from the Highlands to Edinburgh especially for the event.
